CHARLES E. LOVEMAN, Jr., EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Charles Loveman is the Executive Director of HHP. He joined the organization in 2001. Prior to joining HHP, Charles was a principal and partner with Gilmore Associates, a real estate development firm specializing in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. Prior to his tenure at Gilmore Associates, Charles founded his own consulting firm, Landmark Partners. Prior to Landmark, he was a partner at Kosmont Associates, a consulting firm that specialized in structuring public/private transactions. Prior to his association with Kosmont, Charles was a Senior City Planner with the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles.
Charles’ expertise includes development projects involving public sector financial participation in private development deals. He has consulted for various clients, including Capitol Records, Pacific Theaters, Wellpoint Health Networks, and the City of Los Angeles.
Charles is active in community housing and historic preservation organizations. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The Waverly School. Charles is the former President of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative, is a former Board President of the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation, and is a former Board Member of the California Preservation Foundation. Charles was also a commissioner on the City of West Hollywood Planning Commission.
Charles received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, a Master’s degree in City Planning from Harvard University, and an MBA from UCLA.
