We value design that is sensitive to local architectural character,
beautifying the neighborhoods where we build.
PARTNERS DRIVE OUR SUCCESS
Our most important partner is the homebuyer who purchases a home at a set affordable sales price based on their income. As this pays only 50% of the cost to build the home, we rely on public and private partners to “bridge the gap” to make our affordable homeownership developments feasible.
Financial partner support comes in all shapes and sizes. Individual donations are welcome and are tax deductible. Government partners are very common as HHP helps implement City and State housing programs. Private institutions are increasingly interested to partner with HHP to help solve housing challenges facing their members, clients and workforce.
Our volunteer Board of Directors partners with HHP’s professional staff to innovate for our mission. We created a first-in-the- nation New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) equity financing for housing, and we routinely implement new ideas to decrease development costs, increase operating efficiency for our homeowners, and deliver the best for all partners.
