JOHN McAUSTIN, BOARD PRESIDENT
John McAustin is a Managing Director with Construction Management and Development, Inc., a New York based real estate project management and development firm where he specializes in capital structuring, financial analysis, transactions and project management. Mr. McAustin has more than 25 years of experience in real estate finance, asset management and development. Prior to CM&D, Mr. McAustin was a founding Partner and Managing Director with Belrad Group, a real estate merchant banking firm specializing in equity and debt structuring and restructuring for commercial real estate development projects, with assignments and projects throughout the United States, Latin America and Asia. Prior to Belrad Group, Mr. McAustin ran his own real estate finance consulting and asset management business, J. Gerard & Company. In that capacity he performed engagements for clients such as Lehman Brothers’ Global Commercial Real Estate Group, Merrill Lynch, Pacific Gas & Electric, and the Resolution Trust Corporation. He spent prior years with the Los Angeles office of Draper and Kramer, a Chicago-based full service real estate firm, where he managed the workout process of troubled and foreclosed office properties for institutional clients.
Mr. McAustin received his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. Board member since 2009.
